Lukáš Kokeš presents snippets from the life of several ‘Czech’ Vietnamese struggling with racial stereotypes related to professional success. Beneath the surface, this documentary is a meditation upon the feeling of alienation and the relativity of motivations in life that reveal the community’s natural but overlooked heterogeneity. The trajectories of the film’s various themes come together on a golf course. Here, two young men are practicing their strokes while recounting their foreign travels, job offers and successes. Their explanation for why they returned to the Czech Republic: ‘Home is where the heart is.’
